Let's paint on wood - commentary

This is the first my first project and the my first time painting on wood. It was a fun experience though I don't see myself doing it again any time soon. Right now it is the best out of the four, but that is only because I have only two done and am currently working on the third on. The color is only red and yellow using black and white it change the tone of the picture. 

 It was a pain to paint on wood because of it rough suface and taking forever to dry. If any the only bright to painting on it is thAt it came with its own differnt texture so I did not have to worry about that. It is suppose to be somewhat warm.
